A couple works that are eligible for awards consideration (Hugo/Nebula.) This is the sort of post that I inevitably feel is akin to slapping 'Titanic' on the side of your ship, but if it gets a few more eyeballs checking out my little bit of output in 2011, that's great.
Short Story:
Plastic Trees, Eschatology -- July 3rd 2011
Novella:
Elegant Threat, featured in the M-Brane Double along with Alex Jeffer's The New People, M-Brane Press (reveiwers, I can forward a pdf copy of the novella. Contact me at the editors(at)fantastique-unfettered.com.)
Other:
I qualify--first time--for the 'best editor short form' category, but since I don't see that this is broken down into market types (i.e. best fanzine editor, best semipro editor) I'll humbly note Fantastique Unfettered's award eligibility for the 'best fanzine' category, and for the 'related work' category. I'm proud of the Hail Caesar (available online thanks to the CC-BY-SA license) & Thomas Ligotti articles, and in awe of the hard work Alexandra Seidel did on her roundtable with Hal Duncan & Mike Allen, the 'Alexa Chats' series of interviews, and additional book reviews through the year. FU has grown into a great resource for content about various aspects of the fiction world: we hope you'll check it out.
That doesn't seem like much, though Elegant Threat is about 30k and I also saw three new issues of FU to publication, so not too bad. Though it does not qualify since it is a reprint, my story Things We Are Not was reprinted at the Lovecraft eZine.
OK, here's to a more prolific 2012!
